Acceptance of Terms
By downloading, installing, or using Zhiyin ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not
agree to these terms, do not use the App.
Description of Service
Zhiyin is a language learning application that helps users learn Chinese through music. The App provides synchronized
lyrics, dictionary lookups, flashcard creation, and integration with music streaming services.
Eligibility
The App is available to users of all ages. By using the App, you represent that you have the legal capacity to enter into
this agreement, or if you are a minor, that you have obtained parental or guardian consent.
Account Registration
To use the App, sign in with your Apple or Google account. We don't store passwords - your login security is managed
entirely by Apple or Google.
Subscription and Payments
The App offers both free and premium subscription tiers:
Free Tier:
Listen to up to 10 songs
Create flashcard decks with up to 50 cards
Premium Subscription:
Unlimited song access
Unlimited flashcards
Monthly: $9.99 USD
Annual: $99.99 USD
Subscriptions are billed through your Apple ID account. Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24
hours before the end of the current period. You can manage and cancel subscriptions in your Apple ID Account Settings.
Music Streaming Services
The App integrates with Apple Music using MusicKit, Apple's official framework for third-party apps. Your use of Apple Music is subject to Apple's terms of service. You must have an active Apple Music subscription to play music through the App. Zhiyin does not provide music streaming directly - all playback is handled through Apple Music.
Intellectual Property
The App, including its design, features, and content (excluding third-party music and lyrics), is owned by Zhiyin and
protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or reverse engineer any part of the App
without prior written consent.
Feedback
If you submit feedback or problem reports, we may use them to improve the app.
Prohibited Conduct
You agree not to:
Use the App for any unlawful purpose
Attempt to hack or gain unauthorised access to our systems
Interfere with the App's functionality
Use bots or automated tools to access the App
Disclaimer of Warranties
THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. WE DO NOT GUARANTEE THAT THE APP WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR FREE OF HARMFUL COMPONENTS.
Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, ZHIYIN SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE APP.
Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the App at any time, with or without cause, with or without
notice. Upon termination, your right to use the App will immediately cease.
Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes through the App. Your
continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Ireland, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
